I’m Kathleen, the founder of Bee’s Air Duct Cleaning, and if you’d told me 10 years ago that we’d be running a multi-million dollar business today, I probably would have laughed—and maybe cried a little, too. This journey started with a bit of duct cleaning equipment, a lot of determination, and a very real need to make ends meet.

Hi there! I’m Kathleen, the founder of Bee’s Air Duct Cleaning, and if you’d told me 10 years ago that we’d be running a multi-million dollar business today, I probably would have laughed—and maybe cried a little, too. This journey started with a bit of duct cleaning equipment, a lot of determination, and a very real need to make ends meet.
The Humble Beginnings
It all began when I was pregnant with our first son. My husband, Bee, is an immigrant from Mexico and was working in HVAC as an installer. As hardworking as he was, his accent and English skills kept him from being promoted, and with a baby on the way, we needed a new plan. That’s when he looked at me and said, “If you can sell two air duct cleanings a week, you can stay home with the baby.” I laughed and thought, “Challenge accepted!”
So, I went to work. I tried a lot of things—most of them failed spectacularly—but I never gave up. Bit by bit, the calls started coming in. Then one day, Bee told me, “If you can sell $5,000 worth of air duct cleaning a week, I’ll quit my job and join you full-time.” There I was, standing in my kitchen, holding our baby, with another on the way, thinking he was crazy. It felt impossible, but, little by little, we made it happen.
Fast Forward to Today
Fast forward a decade, and here we are. A multi-million dollar cleaning company! If we only sold $5,000 a week now, I’d probably be in a panic! Looking back, I’m amazed at how far we’ve come. I’ve learned so much about this business, and I can confidently say that I’m one of the best at selling air duct cleaning over the phone (if that’s not a claim to fame, I don’t know what is!). And even better, I’m passionate about helping others learn how to do the same.
Why We Do What We Do
Running this business has taught me something I hold close to my heart: there’s honor in doing work that people genuinely need, and there’s a lot of pride in doing it well. I’ve seen firsthand how transformative a small business can be for a family. It gives me so much joy to know that we’re not only improving air quality in people’s homes but also building something meaningful for our family and, hopefully, for generations to come.
